MURRELLS INLET, S.C.: February 19, 2016 – Waccamaw Community Foundation, a grantmaking institution serving Horry and Georgetown Counties, has opened applications for its 2nd quarter competitive grant cycle.
Grants are available from the Carver Educational Fund, Waccamaw Community Trust Fund and the John S. and James L. Knight Donor-Advised Fund. Grants from the Carver Educational Fund range from $500 to $5,000 to “programs and projects that further the cause of education.” The Waccamaw Community Trust Fund awards grants in the amount of $500 to $2,500 to a variety of local nonprofits for projects related to their missions.
The John S. and James L. Knight Donor-Advised Fund, funded by the Knight Foundation, support programs that attract and keep talented people, expand opportunity for all and accelerate civic engagement. Applicants may apply for up to $50,000.
