Horry County Schools Board of Education was awarded a $7,500 grant to support their "Teacher Mini Grant Program".  Funding of this program has allowed HCS to provide 20 teachers with mini grants of $750 each for their classrooms. 

Horry County Schools employ over 2,400 teachers.  All teachers in the district were invited to apply for the mini-grants.  A grant review committee was created to review the applications and to choose the recipients.
