Waccamaw Community Foundation Names New Board Member Murrells Inlet, SC, (June 03, 2010) — Dennis Wade has been elected as the newest Board member of the Waccamaw Community Foundation. President and Chief Executive Officer for The Jackson Companies. Mr. Wade is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina where he earned a BS in Accounting. He began a career in public accounting with a national accounting firm and went on to become a founding partner in a Columbia-based CPA firm. He has served in various capacities on local, state and regional boards, including tenure as Chairman of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves as board member for the Coastal Educational Foundation, Horry County United Way, MUSC Children’s Hospital, Francis Marion University Foundation, Northeastern Strategic Alliance (NESA) and the Board of Visitors for the Wall College of Business at Coastal Carolina University.
