Formed by local citizens in 1998, the Waccamaw Community Foundation helps individuals from all walks of life establish charitable funds for the long-term benefit of our Communities.

Our motivation is single-minded and simple: no one can know what the region's needs will be in twenty, fifty or a hundred years, but we do know future generations will need charitable resources to respond adequately to the issues of their day.

We offer every individual who cares about the Communities that comprise the Waccamaw Region a simple way to create a lasting remembrance of their lives, values, and commitment to the place they call home...

Becoming a Donor

Establishing your own named charitable fund does not require great wealth and it isn't complicated. Plus,

  • You can provide ongoing support to your favorite organizations.
  • You can choose different nonprofit organizaions each year during your lifetime
  • You can make your own choices, or take advantage of our staff's expertise to help you address the communitie's most pressing challenges.
  • You have the opportunity to distribute gifts during your lifetime or to leave a lasting legacy - or both.
